Parental Control App - Mobicip App Reviews

We have two little daughters who love playing with their ipads and this program gives us the sense of security that they are safe searching the Internet. We are so grateful for it!! Thank you Mobicip!

This app is ok but it still needs work. The worst complaint is I cant click on something in my email and go straight to the Internet browser. I buy a lot of stuff and like to track my packages. But with this you cant click on the tracking numbers and it take you there. Please fix!

Mobicip is perfect to monitor your children or students Internet browsing! It does exactly what it says it will do.

I was very satisfied with the app. I tested it out for a friend who asked for advice on finding a good parental control solution for his kids.

I tried the free app and was impressed when comparing it to other free filtering apps. It did better than the the other app I tried side by side. So I purchased the premium years subscription. Here are two things to know before paying the membership: 1 - when their website features says their software works across multiple devices with multiple users, they are not talking about different logins for one device. The app is not designed for sharing one tablet between three kids with different levels of filtering unless the tablet software itself allows for individual logins per user. The filtered browser can be changed from user to user in each device but each change has to be done by the admin. 2- when it says there are time restrictions in the software they mean you can restrict the web browser to certain assigned hours of each day, like say between 2-7pm. It is not like other software that will allow the parent to set a time limit on how long the tablet can be used in a day then lock down after say 1 hr of use. I didnt find it the easiest to set up; however, the tech support has been fantastic. I was impressed by the filtering but as soon as NetNanny improves their app function I will be switching as the two features mentioned above are important to us.

I purchased the Premium software under the impression that Mac was supported. When I realized it was not supported I emailed the support team over at Mobicip and requested a refund. I was expecting some push-back but none was given. They immediately answered all my questions and refunded me without any issues! Theyre customer service is top-notch and unparalleled!

One of my favorite things about this app is that it sends weekly internet activity reports. My daughter is getting old enough where I didn’t need to have as many filters, but it was nice to see weekly reports so I could view what she might be looking at so I can keep her safe and talk with her about anything concerning. Worth the yearly fee!

Smooth, updated, good functionality. Would love to be able to toggle back and forward by sliding the page (like with Safari) Other than that great stuff

This is the best app for letting your kids have a browser and know they will be safe. The app is fast and easy to use. I had some questions and the staff was quick to respond and answer my questions. Over all a real good experience

I have been a premium user for some time now and it has been total peace of mind knowing my daughter would not run across any inappropriate internet content. With the Mobicip Monitor Parental app on my device I was always aware of the sites she was visiting and would be notified whenever she was blocked from a webpage. This service worked beautifully and is well worth the nominal cost.

I can tell you this is hands down the best browser filtering technology I have found period, and have tried quite a few including SafeEyes, Net Nanny and OpenDNS. The Mobicip algorithm works ad-hoc in real time, it is not just a compiled database of sites to be blocked, which is why it can handle a new site that may have just sprung up yesterday. Occasionally it over delivers and will block content that is otherwise safe, but you can always customize the settings and white list to help alleviate that, and in the long run, isnt it worth it even if you miss out on the occasional tabloid gossip of the day? In addition to parental use, I would also very highly recommend Mobicip to any adults who are trying to overcome compulsive use of pornography. Even the most sophisticated internet users will have a *very* hard time finding a loophole to exploit in this filter. I have no shame in telling you I speak from experience. The only drawbacks Ive found are minor. 1) you cant click to open links directly from email. Instead youll just need to copy the link, open Mobicip and paste it in manually. 2) Facebook does not work well at all in Mobicip. However if you use the FB app on your device instead of using it through the browser it wouldnt be an issue. Still I wish they could fix this as I refuse to give a FB app access to my phone (cant trust those MFs!!).

We have been using Mobicip for a few years and love it! I love how I can set the filters differently for each child. The filter settings can be as detailed as you would like. I must say that Mobicip has excellent customer service, their response times are very fast and friendly. I highly recommend Mobicip!

I have a problem of watching adult content on my phone and this app is perfect for curbing this addiction. Mobicip is great at filtering explicit content and the app is very easy to use.

The app lets me monitor my kids Internet and app usage. Additionally, it filters out and blocks inappropriate material while the. I like that I can set different parameters for my children of different ages. The customer service is fantastic. They actually respond quickly to emails asked when I asked for help and fixed the problem.

This is a great tool to help keep your kids safe on the not always safe Internet. The app is easy to use and acts as a great internet browser. If you try to enter a restricted website it will block you from doing so. If the user feels the website shouldnt be restricted, they can send an approval request to have the restriction lifted. You as the admin can then go to the website and decide whether or not to remove the restriction to the site or not. You cant protect your kids from all danger, but Mobicip certainly helps reduce exposure to the things you dont want your younger kids being exposed to.

This is a good browser for any kids which there parents might use for their younger kids to browse safe online. This might be a good tool for anyone! Stay safe on the Internet and STAY AWAY from scam/spam/viruses/spyware/adware/ scare ware!
