I am very happy with Mobicip and found it a great solution, answering the need to control the Internet access of my children on their iPads. The additional features of the yearly subscription are very welcome and worth the price paid.
This app is simply perfect and meet all my expectations. Easy to use and very effective. You can manage several devices and several profiles. Definitely recommend this app. The support is also very responsive, kind and professional (something to deal with my annual subscription and everything was managed in two Hours : I was atonished compared to the standards everywhere else...).
We have been using Mobicip for over a year now and are quite impressed and satisfied with the flexibility of the program, update possibilities, competent service and support tean as well as the informative newsletters.
Im a youth user of this application. I have to say, it works really well. The filtering is good, it doesnt block websites without any innapropritate content. Overall, I have to say its quite accurate.
However, soon after I bought it, I realized that there was an unmentioned $9.99/year service fee to access any of the useful features - custom blocking, basically changing any settings. It blocked completely unnessesary things. However, I contacted customer service about the issue and they provided me with a free 1-year subscription! Overall, I am quite satisfied. Ive been using it for quite a while now, with no issues other than the lack of retina display support for the interface - the pages load fine, but buttons etc. are blurry. Im using an iPod Touch 4g, so it can get annoying. It also takes a while to load up from its selection - but overall its a good application and fairly low in price for its class.
This is a great app. The other reviews that are whining about a $9.99 yearly service fee need to ask themselves if the safety of their children online is worth a paltry $9.99 per year. Its not as if this price is out of reach for those who have the cash for an iPhone or iPad. Stop whining, buy the yearly service and keep your family safe. If your child was held captive and the ransom was $9.99, would you say that was too much? Lets start putting things in perspective!

Some bad moments
You pay 4$ to block EVERYTHING. If you want to choose what to block, gotta get the 10 more $ option... got sc*ewed !
As I intend to share my iPad with my daughter, I bought Mobicip Premium version (plus 10US$), activated all available restrictions, disallowed Safari etc. For testing purposes I then started my Google app and searched for several explicit terms. I got EVERYWHERE!
On some blog I found Mobicips advice to delete native apps such as Bing or Google from your iPad. No, I will not delete my favourite app just to run Mobicip!
To be fair to Mobicip, this seems to be more of an apple/iPad problem, which does not allow to specify a specific browser as single point of entry to the internet. Nevertheless, this purchase has been a waste of money.
Buyers beware. The 4 99 version blocks almost everything and does not allow the user to change settings. In order to get a useful family safe browsers you have to sign up for premium service which costs 9 99 a year. The developers need to be upfront about this because the app does not do as promised at the 4 99 price. As a family oriented app I expected honesty in advertising and received false representation of the true cost of the product instead.
I should add the yearly subscription is not over priced but I do feel taken advantage of by the developers.

Blocks content well but wont allow me to do online banking even tho I have it set to allow. To get the full version its like a yearly fee. No thanks atbonline.ca used to work. Not anymore.
